here are some tips o how to revise for exams.
1. Start your revision in good time and plan a realistic revision timetable.
2. Allow yourself some days off but not in the few weeks just before the exams.
3. When revising at home, try to find out what works best for you.
I think All of these work well, for revision, you cant be stressful because A. it's bad for your health and B. it will make you feel more relaxed when you take your exam and you can get a higher score.
i got the points aqbove from this website.

Fantasy Genre
there are two different fantasy, theres original fantasy with magic and the supernatural and then there is sexual fantasy, boys prefer this type. although, this is about the original type. i believe boys prefer this type as it escapes from the real world and gived us the idea that it could possibly happen. every boy at any age wants to be supernatural, i guess this was infuenced by caertoons and comics at a young age.
personally, my favorite genre is fantay, both kinds. haha.

poetry
i think poetry has remained popular over the years because people like the rhythm of rhyming poems. i think rhyming poems are the most popular. in my life personally, poetry plays no role but in others' im sure it does. i think people like poetry because of the way it is written, it's easier to escape from reality and because poems are short, they must be intense. my favorite poem isnt a single poem, its a book called love, ghosts and nose hair, it doesnt have chapters, each page is a poem that when combined tell a story.

Bak 2 skool...........damn
i think that the quote is a bit wrong, it says that poetry, beauty, romance and love are things we stay alive for. personally, i would stay alive for love, excitment and money. for homework i had to find two examples of poetry in everyday life, the two which i found were greeting cards and childrens books. on alot of greeting card there is a small poem to express how the person giving the card feels. also, in many childrens books, rhyming or repitition is used to make the book more excitable for the child.
ok, thats all.

Books, movies and contraception
which is better to me....books.....or movies......?
THAT IS THE MOST STUPID QUESTION I HAVE EVER ANSWERED IN MY LIFE, and now let me waste 15 minutes of my time explaning why. Firstly, movies are cool, they have lights and sounds, i've never seen millions of people go to a theatre to hear someone read a story. secondly, if your with your girlfriend it would seem quite odd if u said, "hey, u wanna...read a book?"
But this isnt about movies in general, it's about movies base on books. still another stupid topic. Books are too long, movies are compact and short...well, compared to movies. Even is the movie is worse than the book i would still watch the movie.

Peak Adventure
1. I am going scuba diving for the peak adventure camp
2. I chose to do scuba diving because it's something i havent done before.
3. I think that what's going to be dificult when scuba diving is managing my boyancy.
4. I think that the herdest part of the actual trip will be dealing with the water when im'm not swimming.
5. I think the best part will be the experience of breathing underwater.
6. I think it is important to challenge yourself because otherwise, you will go through you life wondering what could have happend.
goodbye and all that..........cya

Books for boys
I read an article about book for boys and im supposed to answer some questions about it so here they are:
1.Why do you think the author has started this blog?
I think the author started the blog because they cant afford real advertising. No offence it's just what i think.
2.There is a slogan at the top of the blog that says "readers are the leaders others follow"; what do you think this means?
I think that the slogan is trying to sub-conciously brain wash people into thinking that reading is the best thing in the world. I'm not saying it isn't but to me it's not my number one.
3.Who do you think would be interested in reading this blog?
Either people who really like to read, or school kids who were forced to.
4.Which entry did you read?
I read the article More Dangerous Books for Boys.
5. What was it about?
It was pretty much a list of books written by the author that would be suitable for boys 8-13. it was more of an ad than it was an article because at the end of it it said 'If there is a boy in your family, or in your circle of friends, he needs one of these action-adventures or mysteries.'
6.Was there a fact/opinion/piece of information that you found particularly interesting? Why?
There was absolutly nothing interesting about that atricle.
7.Did you feel inclined to post a comment? Why?
No, because it wasnt worth the time.

My own book!!!!!!!!
Hello, to all!
im reading the Darwin Awards IV
it's not really a novel as much it is a comic documentary. You dont have to read the previous 3 books to read this 1. The Darwin award it an award given to someone who has accidentally killed them self in a completely stupid way. It's actually a very interesting book.
The book taught me some things about avoiding death too, i've learnt not to tease an elephant to the point that it impales me with it's tusks. i've also learnt not to fall asleep in my kitchen sink WITH THE TAP RUNNING!!!!!!
But still, it was a good book...even though our library doesnt have it!!

why people have a blog?????
I think that people have a blog because one day when they were really bored they suddenly decided to make a blog. The next day they came online to see how their blog was doing, at this point in time their blog is like a virtual pet to these people. Anyway, they look on thir blog and something exciting has happened. A comment has been posted. this is the equivilant to a baby saying it's first words.
these people are soo excited that someone took time out of thir own lives to comment on theirs that they feel an urge to post a comment back. This proccess continues and eventually the entire universe seems to revolve around this persons blog as it is such a big part of their life. To see how many comments they can get.
To who ever is reading this, Cya

Book No.2...........not so much YAY!
Again, i read a book. this one was called 'Duty Free' by Hazel Edwards. It wasnt as good as the other book but it was still ok. this one is about a girl who goes to china with her mum and a group of tourists. Her mum is a sort of 'spy.' She is a journalist who is trying to expose the chinese gouvernment of having an underground nudclear testing site in Tibet. Theres not much that's exciting about it but i didn't mind reading it.
Thanks

Book No.1......YAY!
Ok...I read a book, a short story. It's called 'Double Vision' and it's by Norman Silver. It wasn't too bad actually, there are two stories in one.
The first is about a malaysian man who works in a furniture store. as the story goes on two men come to give a gift to his father as according to their documents he has turned 100 years old. It turns out that his father has been dead for a long time but he has still been collecting the pension.
the second is about a boy who pretends that he has a mental illness as he is soo afraid of going into the army. He startes this charade as a young boy and continues with it throughout the story. It never says wheather he suceeds with his 'illness' but it is a very creative story.
next book soon!!!

Reading thingy
G'day all. Im alex, and that's all you'll ever know. I willingly read a book maybe twice a year and thats about it. I prefer to read magazines and the sides of cereal boxes. This is my reading blog for my english class and we're meant to make posts on the books we read... yea.
Anyway, i think the best book i ever read was by someone who's name i forgot but i do know the name of the book. The hungry caterpillar (i think that's how you spell it). But the best book i read recently was the darwin awards IV by Charles Darwin.
I dont expect to post any other comments about reading books i choose to read but there will be more. Stay tuned for another news update!
